Will Macy's close Federal Way?

The Federal Way store is one of 30 location closures recently announced by the company that will be implemented by the end of Macy’s first quarter, ending April 30. In February 2020, Macy’s announced plans to cut 2,000 jobs by closing about 125 locations over the next three years, according to USA Today.

Is Macy's closing a store in Federal Way & Spokane?

In yet another sign of the challenges facing brick-and-mortar retail, Macy’s is closing its stores in Federal Way and Spokane, along with dozens of other sites nationwide. The closures — at The Commons at Federal Way (formerly SeaTac Mall) and NorthTown Mall in Spokane — were confirmed Wednesday by the New York City-based retailer.
